![]() ![]() Personality-based profiling helps elucidate associations between psychopathology symptoms and address shortcomings of current nosologies. The present study provides evidence supporting the use of the 360IV as a new accessible, ecological, and standardized tool to assess multiple transdiagnostic symptoms. The 360IV was also able to elicit various levels of the four dimensions of presence while producing few cybersickness. Results revealed that the five symptoms occurred during the immersion and were predicted by the participants’ proneness towards these symptoms. One hundred and fifty-eight adults from the general population were assessed in terms of their proneness towards the five symptoms, were then exposed to the 360IV and completed measures for the five state symptoms, four dimensions of presence (place, plausibility, copresence and social presence illusions) and cybersickness. A 360IV was constructed in the Darius Café and included actors behaving naturally. Adopting a multiple transdiagnostic approach, this study aims at testing the validity of a 360-degree immersive video (360IV) for the assessment of five common psychological symptoms (fear of negative evaluation, paranoid thoughts, negative automatic thoughts, craving for alcohol and for nicotine). However, due to high costs and material specificity, VR remains disadvantageous for clinicians. Over the last 20 years, virtual reality (VR) has gained a great interest for both assessment and treatment of various psychopathologies. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2020 APA, all rights reserved). Finally, we present some key challenges facing transdiagnostic science and make suggestions for a way forward. We then review several recent transdiagnostic approaches to classification, biopsychosocial processes, and clinical interventions, highlighting promising novel developments. We begin with a brief history of the diagnostic approach and outline several challenges it currently faces that arguably limit its applicability in current mental health science and practice. In this Introduction to a Special Section on Transdiagnostic Approaches to Psychopathology, we provide a narrative review of the transdiagnostic literature in order to situate the Special Section articles in context. Removing the distinctions between proposed psychiatric taxa at the level of classification opens up new ways of classifying mental health problems, suggests alternative conceptualizations of the processes implicated in mental health, and provides a platform for novel ways of thinking about onset, maintenance, and clinical treatment and recovery from experiences of disabling mental distress. In their place, there is gathering support for a "transdiagnostic" approach that cuts across traditional diagnostic boundaries or, more radically, sets them aside altogether, to provide novel insights into how we might understand mental health difficulties. In addition to street addresses (including apartment/suite numbers), GAD also provides geographic information like rooftop latitude-longitude coordinates, census tract/block number, and county name with FIPS code – ideal for analytics, mapping, risk management and logistics applications.ġ90+ million U.S.Despite a longstanding and widespread influence of the diagnostic approach to mental ill health, there is an emerging and growing consensus that such psychiatric nosologies may no longer be fit for purpose in research and clinical practice. physical address that the Post Office does not deliver to).
